Our Network
We own and operate a carrier class gigabit BGP4 network which is has been built from the ground up using state of the art switches, routers and connections.
Our network spans multiple data centres for redundancy and resiliency. We operate
a number of our own private secure caged suites within datacentres such as the Telecity Meridian
Gate and Bluesquare Maidenhead and we connect to a number of Tier-1 and Tier-2 providers
such as Level(3), Abovenet, ClaraNet and others.
Transit Providers
We have multiple dedicated fibre connections to two of the foremost Tier-1
carriers, Level(3) and
Abovenet plus transit connections to
both
Claranet and
Entanet. Each datacentre carries a
full complement
of transit bandwidth which means that if one datacentre is down the others other would
remain fully functional.
PeeringWe currently peer at
LINX,
Xchangepoint and
RBIEX and plan to
peer on more exchanges over the coming year. This means we have direct Ethernet connectivity to
hundreds of other UK ISPs and global networks
including Microsoft, JANET/UKERNA, The BBC, Virgin Media, NewNet, Globix, Zen Internet and lots of
others.

Additionally, please let your ISP know that you would like them to peer with us
too.
Network Security
We filter all traffic coming in and out of our network for the security of
our clients and to ensure maximum network resilience. We also have
anti-spoofing measures in place.
Internal Network
 Our Network is built upon our
10 Gigabit Ethernet backbone using multiple redundant
switches and Juniper routers with leased dark fibre. Internally the network is routed using OSPF/OSPF3 and our
switches are meshed using Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) which means that
there are always two or more paths to all parts of our network. We utilise
MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) throughout our network to deliver
quality and reliability.
 Built for the Future
The network was built from the ground up with IPv6 in mind and is fully IPv6
enabled. We peer at IPv6 peering points such as UK6x, The Xchangepoint
IPv6 peering LAN and the RBIEX IPv6 peering LAN. All of our clients are
able to take advantage of full IPv6 connectivity as we route a massive /48 of
IPv6 (or /64) address to all servers.
 Local Internet Registry (LIR)
We are a member of RIPE and a Local Internet Registry
(LIR) which means that we are an organization that has the right to provide IP addresses
to other carriers, ISPs and organisations.
